Nestled in the heart of Eastern Pennsylvania's beautiful Conyngham Valley, surrounded by richly forested land and shadowed by majestic Sugarloaf Mountain, Clare House at Holy Dormition Friary offers a peaceful, comfortable place to rest, recuperate and meet God!

As the Holy Dormition Community, we are committed to participating in the life of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and to proclaim the truth that "Christ is among us".

Empowered by the Spirit and strengthened by the traditions and teachings of the East, we pledge to provide a place of contemplation, rest, healing and renewal to those who come in need.

We offer our uniqueness in service to God and His Church.  Although our ministry is primarily to Byzantine Catholics and the other members of our Franciscan Family, our hearts are especially open to all our brothers and sisters of the Christian East and we exclude no one in sharing the good news.
